Zera reviews fuel prices
Harare (New Ziana)- The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (Zera) on Friday reviewed fuel prices in accordance with the prevailing market conditions.
The price for petrol went up to ZW$104.82 from ZW$99.35 while that for diesel went up to ZW$105.58 from ZW$100.91 per litre.
Zera also increased prices of fuel in United States Dollars.
Petrol now retails at USD1.26 from USD1.21 while diesel now costs USD1.27 from USD1.23.
Fuel prices are subject to review once every month.
“Operators may, however, sell at prices below the cap depending on their trading advantages,” Zera said.
Fuel has become more widely available now after the government pegged prices to floating exchange rates, and allowed trading in foreign currency.
