Chinhoyi (Telegraph-New Ziana)- A love triangle involving three villagers
from Zaranyika Village, Chief Mashayamombe in Mhondoro has left one man
dead, another one on the run and the woman in the middle battered.

Steve Banda, who is on the run, allegedly stabbed Albert Tuba with a
knife on the left side of the stomach and he sustained a deep cut which
    eventually led to his death.

Facts are that Banda found Tuba in the bedroom of Talent Mudeka, their
common girlfriend, naked, which did not go down well with the former,
although both men knew they were dating the same woman.

Banda assaulted his rival with fists, and later allegedly stabbed him
with a knife on the stomach.

He also assaulted Mudeka, who then screamed and alerted her father
who was asleep in another bedroom hut.

Whitehead Mudeka (53) rushed into the bedroom and found Tuba lying
dead on the ground in a pool of blood. Upon seeing Mudeka’s father,
    Banda disappeared into the darkness.

Whitehead reported the matter to ZRP Mubaira who attended the scene.
No arrest has been made, and Banda is still at large.

The body was taken to Mhondoro Rural Hospital for a post mortem.
Police Spokesperson Sergeant Vengayi Madyavanhu urged the public to
resolve disputes amicably and avoid violence.

He also appealed to the public to assist with any leads that might
    lead to Banda’s arrest.
