Masvingo (Masvingo Star-New Ziana ) A 34 year old man from the Mushandike area of Masvingo province hanged himself after his wife packed her bags and left him over a long running domestic dispute.

The incident occurred on September 16 this year when Clarkson Rurameso of Mushandike Village 14 hanged himself from a Marula tree (mupfura) around 2 pm.

This was after his wife, whose name was not given, had packed her bags and left their homestead over a long running misunderstanding they had.

Masvingo police spokesperson chief inspector Charity Mazula confirmed the incident and urged people to seek counselling when they had differences.

“We urge people that if they have differences, they should approach their elders, church leaders, the police and traditional leaders for assistance and not commit suicide,” she said.
