    More Covid-19 patients recover

    Harare (New Ziana) – Zimbabwe on Monday registered three more Covid-19 recoveries, taking the total of recovered patients to 12 so far, the Ministry of Health and Child Care has said.

    “The latest recoveries include 3 cases from Harare. These were confirmed through two consecutive PCR negative tests from samples taken at least 24 hours apart,” the Ministry said in its daily update.

    But the country also recorded a new Covid-19 case in Harare.

    The new case was confirmed following 834 rapid screening tests and 726 PCR tests done on Monday.

    “One of the PCR tests done in Harare today (Monday) was positive for Covid-19 whilst all the PCR tests done in Bulawayo today (Monday) were negative for Covid-19. More details on the latest case to be given in tomorrow’s (Tuesday’s) update.”

    “Therefore, to date Zimbabwe has 37 confirmed cases, including 12 recoveries and four deaths,” the Ministry said.

    Cumulatively Zimbabwe has conducted a total of 12 498 rapid screening tests and 10 598 PCR diagnostic tests.
