Harare, (New Ziana) – President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s recent attendance at the inauguration ceremony of new Botswana President, Duma Boko, was a significant display of solidarity between the two nations, a Cabinet Minister stated on Tuesday.
In a post-Cabinet media briefing, Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister Dr Jenfan Muswere emphasized that the gesture reflects a commitment to strengthening cooperation and building a positive trajectory in bilateral relations.
Muswere reported that the Cabinet had received and acknowledged a detailed account of President Mnangagwa’s participation in the inauguration, which took place at the Gaborone Stadium on November 8. “The presence of Zimbabwe at this pivotal event in Botswana’s history underscores the strong ties that exist between our two countries,” Muswere said.
He highlighted that such engagements not only reinforce diplomatic relations, but also foster mutual support and collaboration in various sectors.
