Harare, (New Ziana) – In a heartbreaking incident, a 2-year-old girl drowned after falling into a well near her family home in the dormitory town of Epworth, about 12 kilometres east of the capital.
In a post on its X handle, the Zimbabwe Republic Police said the accident occurred on Saturday around 10 AM.
According to the police, the young victim was playing outside her home in the Overspill area of Epworth while her mother was cooking inside.
