Chinhoyi(The Telegraph-New Ziana) -Two boys, one aged 12 the other 8 and a girl(12) from a Primary School in Mhangura, about 50 kilometres West of Chinhoyi town, recently appeared in court for raping an 11 year old fellow pupil.
Narrating her ordeal to the court the 11 year old girl said she was on her way from school with her female classmate who is 12 years old
and in Grade 4 when they met two boys, one aged 12 years and also in Grade 4 and the other one aged 8 years old and in Grade 2.
The girl said when they met the boys, her friend suggested that they should indulge in sex with them but she refused.
That did not go down well with the 12 year old girl and the two boys who forcibly dragged her into nearby bushes.
On reaching the bushy area, the 12 year old girl pinned her friend down with the help of the Grade 2 boy.
The 12 year old boy then raped the girl, after which the 8 year old boy also did the same, while the other two held her down.
It emerged during the trial that the 11 year old girl was a victim of sexual abuse as she was once left in the custody of her father some time ago when her mother passed on.
After suspicions of abuse by people in the community, the girl was taken away from her father and was adopted by some well wishers who took her for medical examinations which revealed that she had been sexually abused.
