Harare (New Ziana) – For murdering a woman she found in bed with her husband as she returned from an all-night prayer, a Gweru woman has been sentenced to an effective 10 years imprisonment.
Stacy Mkandhla (27) was convicted by the High Court on murder charges that arose from an incident in February.
According to the National Prosecution Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ, Mkandhla returned from an all-night prayer and found her husband on their matrimonial bed, with the now deceased half naked.
This did not go down well with Mkandhla who attacked the deceased using her fists before arming herself with a kitchen knife. Mkandhla’s husband took away the knife before leaving her and the deceased arguing in the house.
Mkandhla then armed herself with another knife which she used to stab the deceased once on the right side of the head, once on the breast and once on the back.
The deceased fled from the house but collapsed and died on the street. A Police report was made resulting in Mkandhla’s arrest.
