    Zim Covid-19 cases rise to 265

    Harare(New Ziana)-The number of people infected by Covid-19 in Zimbabwe has increased to 265 after 28 returnees tested positive on Friday, data from the Ministry of Health and Child Care show.

    The ministry of health said two more infected people also recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 33.

    The number of Covid-19 deaths has remained at 4.

    “Twenty-eight (28) cases tested positive for Covid-19 today. These are all returnees from South Africa and are all isolated.

    “To date the total number of confirmed cases is 265; recovered 33, active cases 228 and 4 deaths, since the onset of the outbreak on 20 March 2020,” said the Ministry.

    A total of 1 298 people were tested on Friday, bringing the cumulative number of tests done to date to 52 218.
