Fuel supplies to normalise

Harare (New Ziana) – Fuel supplies are expected to return to normal by early next week following the completion of scheduled maintenance work at Beira, Mozambique where the bulk of Zimbabwe’s fuel comes from, a senior government official has said.
Fuel shortages, although not severe, have been experienced in the country over the past few weeks.
Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Permanent Secretary Nick Mangwana apologised to the nation for the unforeseen supply challenges.
“There has been a disruption in the fuel supply chain due to a scheduled maintenance programme at Beira,” he tweeted.
“This is now complete and we expect the petrol backlog to start clearing from the end of today into Monday and Tuesday.”
