Master Switch working on new single


SHURUGWI based upcoming reggae and dancehall artist Master Switch is set to drop a new single
titled “Hustle” which he collaborated with veteran artist Uncle Caveman.
Master Switch born First Manyasa, is a 19-year-old passionate musician, who is leaving no stone
unturned to make a mark in the music industry.
The former Shurugwi Number 2 High and St. Anthony’s High school student is into reggae,
Zimdancehall and Afro pop genres.
Master Switch is currently in the studio where he is recording a single called “Hustle” – which is a
collaboration with Uncle Caveman. He is working with Gweru producers namely Micah, Rox and
Octan. He once recorded with Sebanga 3 Studio, ZNT Records,
“In the song, we are trying to encourage youths to work hard because no one will bring food on the
table for them,” said the teenage artist.
In the song, he said, they were also talking about drug and substance abuse by the youths.
Some of the singles which Master Switch has released include, “School of love, Get inside in love and
Summer time. He mostly sings about peace and love.
Master Switch is planning to record a 11-track album early next year.
He called upon music promoters to help market his music in order to get the much-needed exposure
and be counted amongst the best artists in the country.
“I need exposure to be able to deliver good quality music with a message of peace and love,” said
Master Switch who started his music career at a tender age and was once in the church choir.
He added: “Music is my real calling, it’s an inborn thing. I grew up listening to Bob Marley and Busy
Signal music.”
