The government has come to the rescue of Siabuwa and Binga communities by walking its talk after
it rehabilitated the road linking the two under the Emergency Roads Rehabilitation Programme
(ERRP2).
The Binga-Siabuwa road connects Matebeleland North with Karoi and Gokwe in Mashonaland West.
Chief Siansali of Binga has applauded the efforts made by the government to revamp the Siabuwa
Road paying particular tribute to President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
“We are delighted as a community because the President did not take this lightly. In fact, he went
ahead and took it to Cabinet where it was adopted and approved,” said Senator Chief Siansali.
“The bad state of the road had resulted in us being left behind in so many aspects and we therefore
celebrate this development.”
Plans by the Government to rehabilitate the Siabuwa-Karoi road linking Harare and Binga will
transform the economic face of the district.
“This will help us people from Siabuwa, economically and socially. I believe investors can also be
attracted through this route. We have businessmen who fail to come to Siabuwa due to the bad
state of roads,” said the Chief.
