Soccer lovers are mourning the death of the Zimbabwe Football Association Matebeleland North
Province Board Chairperson Dennis ‘Dadegulu’ Tshuma. He was 54.
Tshuma was one of the longest-serving ZIFA Mat North Chairman and also a ZIFA national councilor.
ZIFA’s Matebeleland North Secretary Cliveos Ncube, said that Dadegulu died on January 11 in the
morning.
“Dadegulu passed away in the early hours of today, the 11 of January 2023 at his rural home at
Kasibo,” read the statement.
Soccer lovers have described Dadegulu as a man of his word who believed in football in
Matebeleland North.
“He is the man who always wanted football to be vibrant in the province, his death is a blow to the
football fraternity” said Misheck Dube a football fanatic.
Mehluli Thebe, the ZIFA Southern Region Secretary General also who is also the ZPC Hwange FC
secretary general expressed his heartfelt condolences to the Tshuma family and the sporting
fraternity as a whole.
“In football, we have lost a great administrator, our foot soldier, our chief, our unifier, my father, my
rock. I have lost a pillar. Dadegulu was my mentor, it will be very difficult to replace him as, he was
our king maker as it was him and Madungunguza who made me start football administration, ” said
Thebe.
