Simba Bhora boots out Zvirekwi

By Staff Reporter

THE year 2023 has started on a bad note for former CAPS United captain and Simba Bhora
FC player, Hardlife Zvirekwi, amid reports that the team has also decided to terminate their
union with him over allegations of indiscipline.
Zvirekwi was instrumental in the Shamva boys’ journey to the country’s top tier soccer
league – the Premier League, last season under Division One soccer gaffer, Arthur Tutani,
who is now assistant coach as the gold miners brought in former Dynamos head coach,
Tonderayi Ndiraya.
Although Tutani guided Simba Bhora to top flight soccer, he does not hold coaching
qualifications to lead a Premier League club.
According to information availed to Guardian Sport, Nairobi, as Zvirekwi is popularly
known, in soccer circles, was booted out due to “some bad behavior attitudes” he exhibited at
the end of last season.
Team Secretary, Taurai Janhi, told members of the Press that the defender’s performance was
blighted by incidences of indiscipline, which were not expected from a professional
footballer of his calibre.
Hardlife Zvirekwi was therefore not recommended for the final list of players in the
upcoming 2023 Premier Soccer League.
