GWERU based Zimdancehall artist Percy Muchavhaira known in the musical circles as Semadino di
Scientist recently released a music album which features popular Zimdancehall musicians Dobba Don
and Ndunge Yutt.
Speaking during an interview Semadino said he collaborated with Ndunge Yutt and Dobba Don on
his album titled Kuziva mbuya huudzwa as part of his efforts to grow his brand and widen the
number of fans who listen to his music.
I did a collaboration with Ndunge Yutt on a song titled Vanhu vehukama which talks of how family
members tend to despise those that would have made it in life and associate the wealth with rituals
and witchcraft.
We were discouraging families from hating each other and advocating for unity in families, he said.
The 25-year-old Zimdancehall artist also collaborated with Dobba Don who is a Zimdancehall tycoon
owning big hits including Mudendere and Mukuru which made waves in Zimbabwe in 2015.
The song I did with Dobba Don is called Kutere tere which is a party song which we specifically
made for fans who enjoy dancing and grooving, said Semadino.
Most of the songs on the album were recorded in Gweru by Dj Fattah Padesk but the collaborations
were produced in Harare at Lunga Beats Studios.
Semadino however, encountered some problems during the production of the songs with financial
challenges being the biggest of them all.
As upcoming artists it requires a lot of money for us to be able to collaborate with big and
established artists because there are a lot of expenses that need to be covered, he said.
Semadino di Scientist said he did the album during the end of November and released it on January
2 this year.
He encouraged upcoming musicians to work hard and be patient in their musical careers.
