Police pick girl, 17, for murder

Chirumanzu (New Ziana) – In a shocking case, police in Chirumanzu have arrested a 17-year-old girl for suspected murder of her stepbrother, 13.

The girl reportedly told police the brother had committed suicide by hanging himself on a tree, but evidence on the scene pointed to anything but what she was claiming.

Police said apart from evidence seemingly ruling out suicide, the boy was bleeding from the noise, which is not consistent with death by hanging.

In addition, the tree the boy allegedly committed suicide from was a shrub.

Police said they suspected foul play to be involved in the case and arrested the sister for questioning.

“These observations suggested a murder case as opposed to sudden death by hanging, and the 17-year old stepsister has since been picked up by the police as a suspect,” police said.
