GWERU – Ruvimbo Funeral Central Region Soccer League pacesetters Telone maintained their fine
form after an emphatic victory over Loss Control.
The WiFi Boys won 3-0 and increased their points tally to 26 points after 10 matches. Second placed
Tongogara FC were inactive as their match against Amazon was postponed. Tongogara remain on 22
points, four behind Telone, who face tricky Midlands State University in its own back head in Week
12. The army side play FC Platinum U19 at Battlefields ground this weekend.
Third-placed ZPC Munyati breathed life into their campaign with goals from Wayne Mukudzei and
Aubrey Nyandoro ensuring a 2-0 victory over Chapungu.
The power utility side now has 18 points from 11 matches. They are eight points adrift log leaders
Telone. They welcome Dulibadzimu United to Munyati Stadium in the next round of matches.
Chapungu’s defeat compounded them to fifth position with 16 points – the same number of points
with FC Platinum. They travel to Zisco Club for a date with Kwekwe United.
Bottom club CM Academy drew 1-1 with Kwekwe United. Shabanie redeemed themselves with a 2-1
victory over Bishopstone after their abandoned match against Telone due to crowd trouble when
they were trailing 0-1.
FC Platinum U19 beat MSU 2-0 at Mandava Stadium in Zvishavane, while Blanket Mine beat
Dulibadzimu 2-0 in Beitbridge.
Loss Control play Bishopstone at Gresham Stadium in Zvishavane, Shabanie Mine have a date against
CM Academy at Maglass Stadium. Blanket Mine host Amazon at Long John Stadium in Gwanda.
