Macheso, sons invade Kwekwe
SUNGURA king, Alick “Extrabasso” Macheso makes a return to the mining city of Kwekwe on July 28,
where he will unveil his two music sons – Esau and Tatenda Macheso.
The show dubbed “Baba nevana paKwekwe”, will be held at the Gulez Gardens in the Central
Business District.
This will be the first appearance for Esau and Tatenda to performance in Kwekwe and will be
promoting their debut six-track album titled Pahukama, which was released last month.
The Macheso brothers lead Orchestra Mberikwazvo Junior Band.
The album has six tracks namely Pahukama, Ndipeiwo Mukana, Shuviro yenyu, Muporofita,
Vanotiropadza and Dai mavagonesa.
This will be an opportunity for local fans to see if the Macheso brothers have what it takes to make a
name for themselves in the music industry. It is to be seem if they will surpass the bar set by their
father, who on June 10 celebrated his 55th birthday.
Alick Macheso is known for grooming other sons of music legends Morgan and Tendai Dembo,
Tryson Chimbetu, and Tedious Muchapedza Matsito Junior.
Alick Macheso, is excited by the route taken by his sons.
“I am proud of my sons and their dedication to music. I urge all my fans to come out and support
them,” he was quoted as saying recently.
