    2,968 cast votes by 11am in Redcliff Constituency

    REDCLIFF – – The voting process in Redcliff constituency kicked off smoothly today, with a total of 2,968 registered voters casting their votes by 11 am, according to the Constituency Elections Officer, Sibusiso Bhebe.

    She commended the calm and peaceful atmosphere surrounding the electoral proceedings.

    Out of the 34,327 registered voters in the constituency, a total of 1,550 males, and1,418 females had voted by 11am.

    Additionally, there were 29 assisted voters who received support during the voting process. Among them, 20 were females.

    However, Bhebe noted that 12 individuals were turned away due to invalid documents such as defaced identification cards and others who were not found on the voters’ roll.

    The Constituency Elections Officer urged voters to double-check their registration status and ensure their identification documents are valid and unaltered before heading to the polling stations.

    As the voting process continues throughout the day, election officials remain vigilant to guarantee a fair and transparent electoral process.

    The Redcliff constituency is expected to announce the final voter turnout and election results once the polls close by 7pm.
