    Mutasa DDC Collapses, Dies During Ceremony

    MUTARE-Acting District Development Coordinator (DDC) for Mutasa district,
    Caroline Mudawariwo died last week during a local authority councillors’
    swearing in ceremony.
    Manicaland Acting Director Local Government Services John Misi confirmed
    the sudden death of Mudawariwo saying funeral arrangement were yet to be
    announced. 
    “I can confirm the sudden passing on of the acting district development
    coordinator for Mutasa distric. She passed on during a swearing in ceremony
    after she had complained of a headache. She was rushed to hospital for medical
    attention where she was pronounced dead upon admission,” said Misi.
    The Chief Executive Officer for Mutasa Rural District Council, George
    Bandure was saddened by the sudden loss and described Mudawariwo as a
    woman dedicated to her work.
    “We have been robbed of a humble, likeable, responsive, upright and ethical
    professional who served the district with distinction. My deepest condolences to
    her family and friends at this very difficult time of grief and sorrow,” said Mr
    Bandure. 
    He said the late Mudawariwo spearheaded development in all sectors of the
    economy to make Mutasa a better place.
