Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema is set to arrive in Zimbabwe today for his first State visit at the invitation of President Emmerson Mnangagwa. During the visit, the two Heads of State will jointly preside over the inaugural session of the Zambia-Zimbabwe Bi-National Commission (BNC), marking a significant step in strengthening bilateral relations between the neighboring countries.
The Zambia-Zimbabwe Bi-National Commission (BNC) is a newly established high-level platform designed to deepen strategic cooperation and economic integration between the two neighboring countries. It upgrades the previous Joint Permanent Commission of Cooperation (JPCC), reflecting a shared commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and advancing joint development efforts.
The BNC aims to foster collaboration in critical sectors such as infrastructure development, trade, energy, agriculture, and mining. By elevating the commission to this new level, both nations will coordinate joint projects, accelerate economic integration, and address shared developmental challenges more effectively.
