CHEGUTU – GOVERNMENT employees last week attended a Personal
Performance Work Plan and Appraisals workshop at Hartley 1 Primary School meant
to equip them with skills to understand what is required of them as they undertake
    their daily duties.

Innocent Chidangwa, the PSC Chegutu District Co-ordinator, highlighted the
    objectives of the training.

Two facilitators guided the training workshop but explained that employees should
expect to use a new personal performance work plan and appraisal form that will be
    sent to their departments soon.

The workshop was later graced by the Provincial Schools Inspectors who were on
their way to attend a Red Cross graduation ceremony for teachers, who had
    undergone Red Cross training.

The workshop participants heard that the Ministry of Primary and Secondary
Education was undergoing new changes and that there are new structures put in
    place.

The structural changes, workshop attendees heard, are in readiness for devolution
and the decentralisation to the districts.

It was highlighted that the Personal Performance Work Plan Appraisals are key and
should be undertaken diligently as these will guide them on a daily basis to track
their performance, which will be used to determine individual bonuses.
