    PSL summons Dynamos to hearing

    Harare,  (New Ziana) –The Premier Soccer League (PSL) on Wednesday summoned Dynamos FC to a disciplinary hearing. following the abandonment of its match against FC Platinum last weekend.

    In a statement, the PSL communications and media liaison officer Kudzai Bare said the club will be charged together with its coach, Saul Chaminuka.

    “The Premier Soccer League has summoned Dynamos FC to appear before the PSL disciplinary committee following the abandonment of their Castle Lager PSL match against FC Platinum at Mandava Stadium on Sunday, 22 June 2025. Dynamos FC is being charged with causing the abandonment of a match and ungentlemanly conduct by the team’s technical officials.

    “Dynamos FC head coach Saul Chaminuka has also been summoned to appear before the PSL disciplinary committee. His charges include disturbing the normal proceedings of a match, causing abandonment, ungentlemanly conduct and issuing reckless statements to the media likely to bring the game, sponsors, the league, Zimbabwe Football Association (FIFA), Confederation of African Football (CAF) or Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) into disrepute,” Bare said.

    The disciplinary hearing is expected to take place at the PSL offices on Tuesday next week.

    The match between the two teams was abandoned in the 75th minute after referee Qedisani Dirwai awarded a penalty to FC Platinum, ruling that Oscar Bhebhe had been fouled by Emmanuel Jalai in the box.

    Before the abandonment of the match, the teams were deadlocked at 1-1.
