Harare, (New Ziana) – Stanbic Bank Zimbabwe has reaffirmed its leadership in the financial services sector after being named Best Transaction Bank in the country.
The prestigious accolade, which underscores the bank’s exceptional performance in transaction banking and its commitment to delivering innovative, reliable, and client focused solutions that empower businesses nationwide, was awarded at the Euromoney Transaction Banking Awards 2025 held in London, the United Kingdom recently.
The annual awards ceremony celebrates excellence across the global transaction banking industry. Institutions are recognised for outstanding achievements in areas such as cash management, payments, trade finance, and financial technology.
In a statement, Stanbic Bank Zimbabwe said the award places it among a distinguished group of international leaders.
“As outlined by Euromoney, the awards honour banks and technology providers that demonstrate measurable impact, innovation, and leadership in serving corporate and institutional clients worldwide. Winners are selected through a rigorous process involving data analysis, peer benchmarking, and direct engagement with market participants,” it said.
The recognition of Stanbic Bank follows a string of accolades in 2024 and this year that highlight its strong performance and innovation.
This month, the bank received the Banking Excellence Award at the Top Companies Survey 2025, sponsored by Old Mutual. It was also named Best Investment Bank in Zimbabwe by the Global Banking and Finance Awards, cementing its reputation for strategic financial solutions and market expertise.
Earlier this year, Stanbic Bank won the Best New Product or Innovation of the Year from the Marketers Association of Zimbabwe (MAZ) for its Online International Payments solution, reflecting its commitment to digital innovation.
Its customer-centric approach was further recognised with the Best Customer Service Bank 2025 award from the Customer Experience Association of Zimbabwe. In June, the bank added another feather to its cap when Global Brands Magazine named it Best Banking Brand, Zimbabwe 2025.
The Euromoney Transaction Banking Awards span multiple regions and countries, with recent winners including leading banks in Argentina, Spain, Mexico, Turkey, and across Latin America, highlighting the program’s global credibility and reach.
