GWERU – Regina Mundi High School student Tafadzwa Chantel Revaishe Makamure stunned the crowd with her powerful poetry performance at the Gweru District Schools prize-giving day held recently.
Tafadzwa’s self-taught poetic skills, born out of her passion for public speaking, left the audience in awe of her talent and conviction.
In an interview, the 18-year-old poet revealed that poetry is her outlet for expressing emotions, allowing her to articulate her feelings and bare her soul.
“I find solace in poetry as a medium to express my emotions. Whether I’m overjoyed or sad, poetry provides an outlet for me to articulate my feelings. It’s an art form that allows me to bare my soul, and I’m forever grateful for its therapeutic power,” Tafadzwa said.
With her remarkable talent, dedication, and passion, the promising poetess is set to make a lasting impact on the literary and performance poetry world.
Her journey into poetry began with public speaking, where she discovered her natural flair for articulation and creative expression. Tafadzwa’s future in poetry looks bright.
