Harare,  (New Ziana) – The Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (Zimra) has called on Value Added Tax (VAT) registered operators in Categories A and C to submit their tax returns and payments for the period ended March 31, 2025, by April 15, 2025. VAT registered operators are categorized based on their annual turnover.

Category A taxpayers are those with an annual turnover of more than $500,000, and they are required to submit VAT returns on a monthly basis. Category C taxpayers, on the other hand, typically have an annual turnover of less than $500,000 and are required to submit VAT returns on a quarterly basis.

In a notice, Zimra called on all operators in the two categories to submit their returns by Tuesday this week. “Late submission of returns and payment of tax attracts penalties, interest and prosecutions,” it said. Submission of the returns, and payments is done online.
