Malawi— Former Bikita Minerals FC and FC Hunters striker Tinaye Tsimba has joined Malawian football giants Nyasa Big Bullets on a two-year contract.
The move, completed on Thursday, represents another milestone in the forward’s rapid rise through the Zimbabwean football ranks.
Tsimba made a name for himself at FC Hunters during the 2025 season, where his goalscoring exploits in the Eastern Region Soccer League earned him a move to Bikita Minerals, who were then competing in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.
He now joins one of Malawi’s most successful clubs, with the move also adding him to a growing list of Zimbabwean footballers and coaches who have sought opportunities in the neighbouring country’s top-flight league.
Former Dynamos and Warriors midfielder Ronald Chitiyo previously played for Nyasa Big Bullets, while former Warriors coach Kallisto Pasuwa enjoyed a successful six-year spell in charge of the club.
Tsimba said he was motivated by the Bullets’ ambition to compete for domestic and continental honours.
“Bullets are a giant of Malawian and regional football and to pull on that jersey is a huge honour,” he said.
The striker said his experiences in the Eastern Region had instilled in him the discipline and determination required to succeed at the highest level.
“I am carrying that same mentality to Malawi — humility, discipline and never getting comfortable,” he said.
Tsimba said one of his objectives was to develop into a complete forward and eventually attract the attention of the Zimbabwe national team selectors.
He also acknowledged the pressure that comes with representing a club whose supporters expect success every season.
“Pressure is a privilege,” he said.
The forward thanked his former clubs and supporters for helping shape his career and urged aspiring footballers from the Eastern Region to remain committed to their dreams.
He is expected to begin the next chapter of his career at Nyasa Big Bullets as he seeks to establish himself in Malawian football.
