MUTARE-The stage is emphatically set for the prestigious Sanganai/Hlanganani/Kumbanayi World Tourism Expo, with officials confirming that preparations at the Mutare Sports Club are nearing flawless completion.

Exuding confidence, the Minister of State for Manicaland Provincial Affairs, Misheck Mugadza, assured the public that the province is fully prepared to host the international event from September 10-12.

“Preparations are going well. We are almost 100 percent in everything,” Minister Mugadza stated, outlining the comprehensive readiness.

“We are winding up, wrapping up on preparations at the venue. Our roads are sorted out. The venue itself, the parking area is 100 percent ready. As you can see, tents are being prepared. We are hoping that by today, everything will be ready, and the program will be taking off in earnest.”

This sentiment was echoed on the ground by industry professionals. Samantha Tete, an architect with The Gap Construction, the firm contracted to renovate the venue, reported that major work on the sports club’s core facilities is substantially complete.

“Most of the major works have been done,” Tete confirmed. “The clubhouse and the restaurant, which are key facilities for the event, have been completed up to 95 percent. We are left with just a few touch-ups like painting and cleaning up the area.”

As the final architectural touches are applied, the exhibition infrastructure itself is now being erected across the grounds, transforming the venue into a dynamic hub poised to welcome the global tourism community.

The air of anticipation is palpable, signaling that Manicaland is ready to deliver a world-class exposition.
