CHINHOYI- THIS year people in love will be celebrating Valentine’s Day in a special
way as most small businesses in Chinhoyi have been preparing for the occasion.
Valentine’s is all about showing love through different kinds of gifts, like flowers,
cakes, chocolates, hampers as well as not forgetting going to photo shoots as well
as picnics.
Tanaka Mzvimbakupa also known as “Tanny Cakes” specialises in baking as well as
selling candies. For this year’s Valentine’s Day, she said that she had special orders
and promotions for the special Day.
“I have started receiving cake orders for Valentine’s and this year it seems loved
ones are patiently waiting. We are a small business and we have strategised how we
are going to market our cakes,
“We have got hampers consisting of chocolates, candies and many other products
that only those in love would like to buy,” said Mazvimbakupa.
Lael Media Group said that they were at an advanced level of preparations for
Valentine’s Day.
We will have promotions which include a canvas printing for the best couple, all
they need is to come book for the days events because we will also have outdoor
photo shoots,says Lael Media Group.
They said that people should normalise taking pictures, as pictures carry memories
for a lifetime, especially those with their loved ones.
Proprietor of one of the most outstanding boutiques in town, Chichie Boutique, said
that she was currently putting all stock from couples’ matching outfits to every small
thing for Valentine’s.
This year I have started early to make preparations for Valentine’s because looking
at the trends these days, couples are enjoying buying each other all sorts of gifts just
to express their love,she said.
