Bishop Nyabanga Named 2025 Coach of the Decade

Harare — Zimbabwe’s coaching and faith communities have received a major boost after Bishop Dr Master Coach Aderino Nyabanga was named the 2025 Coach of the Decade by the International Coaching & Mentoring Foundation (ICMF), an accolade that places him among the most influential coaching figures on the continent.

The prestigious award was conferred during the ICMF’s 10th Annual Coach Certification and Coaching Awards ceremony held in Harare, where Bishop Nyabanga was recognised for sustained excellence in leadership, mentoring and community transformation over the past decade.

In his acceptance speech, he said the honour went beyond personal achievement.

“This award is not just a personal milestone, but a testament to the power of faith-driven leadership and the spirit of Ubuntu that guides our work,” he said. “I am deeply humbled and inspired to continue transforming lives, both in Zimbabwe and on the international stage.”

Bishop Nyabanga has built a reputation that blends ministry, professional coaching and philanthropy. He is the founder of Daybreak International Ministries and the Daybreak International Charity Foundation, organisations that provide food, clothing and educational support to hundreds of orphans, widows and vulnerable groups annually.

He also leads the God’s Generals International Forum, a platform that brings together pastors and church leaders to contribute to national development and social impact initiatives.

“Our mission is to build leaders who serve with integrity and compassion,” he said. “Whether in the pulpit, the boardroom or the community, we are called to uplift and empower.”

Bishop Nyabanga’s influence extends beyond Zimbabwe, having ministered and spoken in countries such as South Korea, Botswana, Zambia, Malawi, South Africa, Mozambique and Tanzania. His work has featured on several media platforms, including Jerusalem TV, ZTV, Classic 263 radio and Zimgospel Masters Online, helping to amplify his message of leadership and transformation.

While some of his academic and coaching accolades are honorary in nature, his leadership roles and community impact have been widely reported in local media and acknowledged within regional coaching circles.

“International collaboration is key to building a brighter future,” Bishop Nyabanga said. “We are forging partnerships that will empower the next generation of leaders across Africa and beyond.”

The International Coaching & Mentoring Foundation is a regional authority in professional coaching, boasting more than 2,300 certified coaches and over a decade of operations. The Coach of the Decade award is its highest distinction, reserved for individuals who demonstrate long-term excellence and transformative impact.

“Bishop Nyabanga’s recognition is a beacon for African leadership in the global coaching movement,” said an ICMF spokesperson. “His work exemplifies the integration of faith, professional coaching and social responsibility.”

Nyabanga’s programmes align with Zimbabwe’s Vision 2030, with a strong focus on youth empowerment, entrepreneurship and social cohesion. Through the Legacy Builders Global Hub, he trains aspiring entrepreneurs, while his charity foundation continues to address immediate needs in marginalised communities.

“We are not just building businesses; we are building legacies,” he said. “Our goal is to equip individuals with the skills and mindset to thrive in a changing world.”

With the Coach of the Decade title, Bishop Nyabanga is expected to expand his engagement with government institutions, churches and international organisations. Observers say his ability to unite diverse communities and deliver measurable impact positions him as a valuable partner in leadership, education and social development initiatives.

“The journey continues,” he said. “Together, we can elevate Africa’s voice in the world and create opportunities for all.”

Bishop Dr Master Coach Aderino Nyabanga’s recognition marks a significant milestone for Zimbabwe and underscores the growing influence of African leadership in the global coaching arena.
