Harare, (New Ziana) – Bishop Dr. Aderino Nyabanga, President of Legacy Builders Global Hub, has called on Zimbabweans to embrace entrepreneurship as a pathway to self-sufficiency and national development, in line with President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s vision that “nyika inovakwa nevene vayo” (a country is built by its own people).

In an interview with New Ziana at the sidelines of the Executive Business Seminar themed “Avoiding Business Pitfalls” in Harare, Bishop Nyabanga said Zimbabweans must shift from a culture of dependence on employment to one of creating jobs and legacies for future generations.

“Our main objective is to train people to be entrepreneurs using the President’s vision that a country is built by its own people. That vision cannot be realized if people do not become their own bosses in life,” he said.

The seminar, which drew participation from key institutions including Ecocash, Empowerment Bank, Old Mutual and Viago, focused on business growth, financial solutions, and investment opportunities.
Bishop Nyabanga underscored the need for multiple streams of income, warning against the dangers of over-reliance on a single salary.

“We encourage people to create more sources of income in life, not just depending on going to work and earning one salary. In many families, the man is the only breadwinner while the wife waits at home for his income. We strongly discourage that,” he emphasized.

He revealed that the majority of their trainees were pastors—a deliberate strategy to spread the entrepreneurial message to wider communities.

“Three-quarters of our audience are pastors. They have influence over the greater world out there. Even they are taught here to generate their own income outside the congregation, so as to help the multitude of church members who may come in need of help,” he said.

True to the organization’s name, Bishop Nyabanga said Legacy Builders Global Hub aims to help individuals build wealth that outlives them.

“As our name says, we want people to build legacies through entrepreneurship and live that legacy for their children and future generations. For example, I am a pastor, but if I die, I cannot leave the pulpit to my children because this is my calling, not theirs. I should leave something tangible from where they can start.”

Zimbabwe’s abundant resources, he noted, present vast opportunities for entrepreneurship.

“We are blessed to have one of the best climates, minerals and other resources, so what can stop us from starting our own ventures? Many people do not know how to turn an idea into income, and that’s where we come in to give guidance,” he said.

He further encouraged Zimbabweans to take part in international trade to boost foreign currency inflows.

“We should be self-starters in ensuring we bring in the much-needed foreign currency through buying and selling goods beyond the border,” he said.

The seminar is part of a broader training program Legacy Builders Global Hub has been rolling out across the country.

Beyond business, Bishop Nyabanga is widely celebrated as a seasoned minister, life coach, financial literacy coach, philanthropist, and award-winning author.

He has founded several initiatives including Daybreak International Ministries, Daybreak Hair and Beauty Therapy School, Daybreak Bible Institute, and Daybreak International Charity Foundations.

Through his work, he has paid school fees for orphans, clothed widows, supported the less privileged and the disabled, and empowered youth and women through mentorship programs.

Internationally, he has ministered in South Korea, Botswana, Zambia, Malawi, South Africa, Mozambique.

His work has earned him multiple honorary doctorates in Theology, Applied Christian Education, and Human Advocacy, as well as accolades including Influencer Coach of the Year 2022 and Overall Mentor of the Year 2024.

The bishop has also authored 10 books on leadership, personal development, and relationships, including The Art of Leadership, The Millionaire’s Mindset, and God’s Generals Minister’s Handbook.
