BEITBRIDGE — Bubye Valley Conservancy (BVC) donated Tshivenda textbooks for Grades 5 and 6 to 15 schools in Beitbridge East last week.
The handover ceremony, recently held in Ward 13, Lesanthe, Beitbridge East, was part of BVC’s ongoing community support initiatives aimed at strengthening the education sector.
The donation is expected to benefit hundreds of learners by enhancing their access to quality education in their home language.
The Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution for Matabeleland, Albert Ngulube, commended BVC for its commitment to uplifting the community, noting that such initiatives align with government efforts to improve educational standards.
“This gesture highlights the importance of partnerships in driving development. I encourage other stakeholders to emulate BVC’s example and to foster a collaborative approach to community growth,” he said.
The donation of Tshivenda textbooks also supports current education policies that promote mother-tongue instruction, a key factor in improving learning outcomes and literacy among young learners.
Through initiatives like this, BVC continues to demonstrate the impact of corporate social responsibility on advancing education and community development in Matabeleland South.
