Chipangano suspends coaches

Share

Chipangano FC has suspended two of its senior coaches due to the poor performances in
the past matches.
The coaches, Try Ncube and Bongani Mafu have been suspended by the clubs
management after the coal miners boys have failed to stand the heat in the premier league
in which they have lost more than they have won and in a precarious position on the log.
Nation Dube is the only one who was spared from the suspension.
Speculation is that there has been commotion in the football club which insiders say was due
to coaches causing division among the players. Sources close to the football club revealed
that there was an in-house chaos for the coaches which affected the performance of the
players.
“The arrangement of having three coaches was not working for the club as each coach had
his own players. The coaches were fighting to be recognised, so in the long run, some
players were now under performing leading to the poor performance of the team,” said the
source.
The team is lying 12 th on the log with 25 points.
Peter Phiri, one of the Chipangano fans said the team needs order from the management
cascading to the coaches and players.
“We know the team has been out of the Premier League in the previous season, but we
expect them to have order when it comes to strategising for wins. Coaches should not be
putting in personal interest instead they should put the interest of the team first,” he said.
Sources say the three coaches Try Ncube, Bongani Mafu and Nation Dube were allegedly
personalising some players causing confusion and influencing some of them not to perform
at their best and lose some of the games costing the Club some points.
Meanwhile, the coaches who spoke to this publication claim that the suspension was unfair
and were not told officially about the suspension.
“We were served with suspension letters but the reason for the suspension was not clear.
We just heard of the reasons of our suspension from social media. I don’t know how this is
going to end,” said one of the suspended Coaches who preferred not to be named.
In the last match with Simba Bhora, Hwange FC learnt it the hard way that football matches
are won by scoring goals after they wasted a glut of chances to end up sharing the spoils
with the visiting team.
Meanwhile, their next home game will be another tough match as they face wounded
Highlanders and this will be no walk in the park for Chipangano boys.
