Civil servants across Zimbabwe are set to receive increased salaries starting Tuesday, with members of the uniformed forces expected to be the first to benefit under a comprehensive Government salary review aimed at improving earnings across the public service.

The latest adjustments have raised pay levels across various grades, with entry-level A3 workers now earning between US$370 and US$375. B-grade employees will see their salaries rise to about US$435, while those in the mid-tier C band are expected to receive around US$536. Senior employees in the D grades will earn close to US$900, with the highest salary in that band reaching approximately US$897.

The salary review forms part of broader Government efforts to enhance the welfare of public servants and stabilise incomes amid ongoing economic reforms. The payments also come alongside continued measures to strengthen the Zimbabwe Gold (ZiG) currency and sustain support programmes already in place for civil servants.Among the complementary benefits being maintained are vehicle loan schemes and housing initiatives designed to improve living standards and ease financial pressures on government workers.

Authorities indicated that the salary adjustments were informed by a job evaluation framework intended to align remuneration with qualifications, responsibilities, and skill levels. The framework is expected to standardise pay across departments while recognising professional competencies and workload demands.

The sweeping salary overhaul marks one of the most notable adjustments to civil service earnings in recent times.
