    Ezekiel Guti University partners Huawei

    Bindura (New Ziana) – Ezekiel Guti University has partnered Chinese telecommunications giant, Huawei to locally assemble and market some of its products in the country, an official said on Wednesday.

    The university’s dean of the faculty of health sciences and technology, Justice Makota told New Ziana Huawei products to be assembled will mainly be electronic gadgets, and already some staff for the project had been trained.

    Huawei is one of the largest manufacturers of telecommunication equipment in the world, with global market reach.

    Apart from knowledge transfer, the project will create employment, and dovetails with the government’s of attracting more foreign investment into the country.

    Meanwhile, Ezekiel Guti University has also announced plans to venture into stock feed manufacturing as an additional revenue stream.

    This is in pursuit of the country’s 5.0 education model which encourage tertiary education institutions to translate theory into practice in the form of products.

    The university is already producing Covid-19 sanitizers as part of this.
