of which will service the Harare – Kariba route.

the new aircraft as it was a key enabler for tourism development.
“We are delighted to welcome this aircraft to serve our domestic new routes to Kariba
and Hwange National Park. Air connectivity is a key enabler for tourism
development, and we continue to demonstrate our commitment to the development of
tourism in Zimbabwe and the region.”
She added that they were finalising the preparations for the launch of their first flight
to Kariba.
The arrival of the aircraft will see Fastjet concluding the mandatory regulatory
processes in operating flights to their strategic destinations in the development of
tourism in Zimbabwe.
The news come at a time Kariba has not been easy to access because KUVA Air
suspended their flights to Kariba while the road network is in a sorry state.

Mangaliso Ndlovu recently said that he and the Minister of Transport and
Infrastructure Development, Felix Mhona, and the Mashonaland West Minister of
State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Mary Mliswa-Chikoka, were going to
work hand-in-hand to ensure that the road network is upgraded.
The Minister as also confirmed that Air Zimbabwe also plans to service Kariba but
they are yet to release the dates when they will start servicing the destination.
Kariba is one of the main tourist attractions in Mashonaland West Province and also
in the country.
