    Five small plane crash victims named

    Police on Tuesday released the names of five of the six people who died last Friday when a Cessna 206 plane owned by diamond mine Rio Zim went down in the Zvamahande area near Mashava, in Masvingo province.

    National police spokesman Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said the police are working with relevant institutions to identify the sixth victim, who is believed to have come to Zimbabwe as a visitor.

    The deceased who were identified include Reginald Muchemwa (38) who was the pilot, Gerald Sibanda (51) Nikhli Mahadik Milind (age not given), Harpla Singh Randhawa (60) and his son Amer Singh Randhawa whose age was not given.

    All were employees at Murowa Mine. Ass Com Nyathi said the police are still investigating the cause of the crash.

    The plane, which took off from Harare heading for Murowa Diamonds Mine in Zvishavane, the Midlands province, broke into pieces on impact around 7AM on the fateful day.
