Good Samaritan Killed for Refraining Fight

MUTARE- Tragedy struck in Chipinge when a man died after getting a
backlash from refraining a fight between two siblings last week.

Zacharia Nyamunda (50) of Checheche Growth Point, Chipinge was assaulted
for trying to refrain Stubborn Chiusavi (41) from assaulting his sister.

Manicaland police spokesperson, Inpsector Muzondo confirmed the incident in
which Nyamunda succumbed to injuries from the assault.

“Nyamunda was passing by when he saw Stubborn Chiusavi threatening to
assault his sister Nyarai Zineko (27). Nyamunda tried to refrain the two when
Chiusavi picked a log and battered Nyamunda on his back, chest and left ear
before Nyamunda fell to the ground. At this point he stopped assaulting
Nyamunda and went home,” said Insp Muzondo.

Nyamunda went home to his wife and told her of the incident.

Later the same evening, he complained of chest and back pains, to which he
suffered for a week and later died in his home.

A police report was made concerning the matter and the police are currently on
the hunt for Chiusavi who is still at large.
