Harare(New Ziana)-The government on Friday urged illegal occupants of land around Leopard Rock hotel in Vumba, Manicaland province to move out before they are forcibly removed.

In a statement, Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services permanent secretary Nick Mangwana said the government was concerned with the resurgence of land invasions in some parts of the country.

“It has come to the attention of Government that there is some illegal land invasion around part of Leopard Rock Hotel property. This has caused some disruption of business in addition to causing some environmental damage,” he said.

Mangwana said law enforcement services had alerted of the lawlessness and were finalising plans to restore law and order.

“Those who have taken illegal occupation on this land are advised to move out, as forced removal is undignified,” he said.

“We remain committed to provide the landless Zimbabweans with land in an orderly manner respecting the law and property rights,” he added.
