The major event follows a meeting in March this year, between Harare Mayor Jacob Mafume and Hanshi Bosman, an 8th Dan Black Belt holder who is the International Chairman of Kyokushin Budokan Karate, laying the groundwork for deeper cooperation between the city and the karate organisation.
Bosman expressed commitment to supporting karate development in Harare through training, grading seminars, and staff engagement. He led a national karate seminar in March and also participated in a city clean-up campaign, reflecting the community and civic values that karate promotes.
The partnership aims to promote karate in Harare, offering local practitioners a platform to grow and potentially compete on the international stage.
