HARARE – Popular musician Mukudzei Chitsama, better known as Holy Ten, will remain on bail while police finalise investigations into allegations that he raped a 14-year-old girl.
Chitsama appeared briefly before the court yesterday and was further remanded to August 27 to allow the State to complete investigations into the case.
The musician is out on US$500 bail and is required to report to the police once a week, reside at his given address and not interfere with State witnesses.
According to the State, the alleged incident occurred in Hatfield after the complainant allegedly met Chitsama in Avondale before they proceeded to another location.
Prosecutors told the court that four other suspects allegedly linked to the matter remain at large.
The State is expected to provide a further update when Chitsama returns to court on August 27.
