HARARE – Hip-hop artist Holy Ten, born Mukudzei Chitsama, has been remanded in custody to August 7, 2026, following his initial court appearance on allegations of raping a 14-year-old girl.
Holy Ten appeared before Harare Magistrate Jesse Kufa, who granted him US$500 bail after the State indicated it was not opposing his release pending further investigations.
Prosecutor Lawrence Gangarahwe told the court that investigations were still underway, adding that authorities were awaiting a forensic report and documents confirming the complainant’s age.
The musician was represented by lawyer Admire Rubaya.
As part of his bail conditions, Holy Ten must report to the police every Friday, surrender his passport, continue residing at his given address and refrain from interfering with witnesses.
The matter was postponed to August 7 for routine remand as investigations continue.
Holy Ten has been charged, but the allegations have not been proven in court. He remains presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
