MARONDERA- An eight-year-old Chitimbe Primary School girl in Murehwa died after she was hit by a
car while crossing the road from school.
On November 28, Farai Shereni (45) of Warren Park D in Harare was driving a kombi along the
Murehwa Madicheche Road and when approaching the 45km-peg along the said road he allegedly
failed to notice the young girl who was crossing the road and run her over. She died on the spot.
The acting provincial police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Misheck Denhere confirmed the
incident and said investigations are in progress.
