New Transmedia Corporation board appointed

The Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services on Thursday announced the appointment of a five-member board for the Transmedia Corporation.

In a brief statement, acting Ministry permanent secretary Jonathan Gandari said President Emmerson Mnangagwa had approved the appointments of Phillipa Sadza as the Transmedia board chairperson deputised by Engineer Lawrence Nkala.

Other board members include Engineer Tinayeshe Mutazu, Auxillia Katongomara and Gandari who will be the Ministry representative.

Additional board members are expected to be appointed in due course, said Gandari.

Transmedia Corporation is a State-owned company established in terms of the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation Commercialisation Act of 2001 to provide radio and television signals.
