‎Harare, (New Ziana)– The National Social Security Authority (NSSA) has issued a strong warning to members of the public against purchasing residential stands in Glaudina from unauthorized agents, amid reports of illegal land sales in the area.
‎In a statement, NSSA clarified that it is the lawful owner of land in Glaudina Phase 1 and Phase 2 and that the National Building Society (NBS) is the sole authorized seller of NSSA stands in the area.
‎”The public is strongly warned against purchasing or engaging with any individuals or entities claiming to sell stands in the Glaudina area without proper authorisation. Such transactions may be fraudulent and may result in financial loss,” said the statement, adding that both NSSA and NBS will not be responsible for any financial losses arising from sales conducted by unauthorized agents.
‎The authority revealed that legal action has already been instituted against some agents who were illegally selling stands in Glaudina without the necessary authorization.
‎NSSA urged members of the public to exercise due diligence and verify all property transactions through the designated seller before making any payments.
‎The warning comes as demand for residential land continues to rise, creating opportunities for land scammers to target unsuspecting buyers. NSSA emphasized that verification of property sales through official channels remains the best safeguard against fraud.
‎Prospective buyers are encouraged to contact NBS directly to confirm the authenticity of any stand sales in Glaudina before entering into any agreements or making payments.
