The country’s largest trade showcase set for July 20 t0 23, returns to its home ground in Bulawayo this year after a year long hiatus owing to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.

It will be running under the theme, “Showcasing the new normal for business and industry, realities and opportunities.”

Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister, Monica Mutsvangwa told a post-Cabinet media briefing that 46 309 square metres out of 49 877 square meters of the exhibition space had so far been booked.

“The major thrust is on finding innovative and sustainable business models to ensure continuity, during and after the pandemic.”

July 20 to 22 will be business days, with the international business conference set for the 21st while President Mnangagwa opens the fair on the 22nd and the public being allowed entry on the last day.

At least nine countries have so far confirmed participation at the fair, Mutsvangwa said, with 395 companies having expressed interest to exhibit.

This year’s edition will host the inaugural Zimbabwe Diplomats Forum, the minister said.
