Harare, (New Ziana) – Preparations for the highly anticipated 2nd edition of the Zimbabwe International Youth Trade Fair and Conference to be held in May this year are gaining momentum, organizers have said.
Chief executive officer of My Africa Child and Youth Development Organization (MACYDO) Vimbai Butawu told a press conference on Tuesday that the the conference is a monumental gathering designed to empower and inspire the next generation of Zimbabwean and African entrepreneurs, innovators, and business leaders.
“The Zimbabwe International Youth Trade Fair and Conference 2025 will serve as a dynamic platform for young people to showcase their talents, connect with global business leaders, and explore opportunities for collaboration. “With exhibition spaces available for youth-led initiatives, the event will highlight the creativity and innovation driving Africa’s economic future,” she said.
Butawu said the event will celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit of young people while creating new opportunities for Zimbabwe and future African leaders.
She underscored the commitment of MACYDO to youth development, adding that the organization firmly believes in the power of the youth as the drivers of positive change and sustainable development.
The event will feature an impressive line-up of local and international speakers, including renowned South African business strategist Vusi Thembekwayo, Pan-African advocate Dr Arikana Chihombori-Quao, Nigerian actor and entrepreneur Richard Mofe-Damijo, and Ghanaian business leader Kwame Opoku, among others.
These influential figures will lead thought-provoking discussions and panel sessions addressing critical topics such as youth empowerment, innovation, sustainable development, and the future of Zimbabwe and Africa.
