Harare, (New Ziana) – President Emmerson Mnangagwa on Saturday visited three security officers assigned to the First Lady, Auxilia who are admitted at a local clinic after they were involved in an accident on Friday.

The officers were on their way to Mashonaland Central province where the First Lady, who was travelling in a separate vehicle, was due to present food handouts to vulnerable people in the wake of the Covid-19 national lockdown.

One of the officers died as a result of the accident.

Exact details of what happened are yet to be disclosed.

President Mnangagwa, who expressed satisfaction that the officers were in good hands at the local clinic, took time to briefly chat with two of them who were able to talk.

“I think they are in capable hands and everything possible is being done and we wish that they have a quick recovery,” he said.
