Harare (New Ziana) –The ministry of Transport and Infrastructural Development has warned the public against an individual who is masquerading as the Human Resource Director for the Vehicle Inspection Department and purporting to be recruiting new staff.

“The public is being notified of a bogus person impersonating himself as Human Resource Director for VID who is recruiting people for the posts of VID Officers for @Ministryof TID. Please be warned that we do not have such a person, and this is a scam.”

The Ministry said the recruitment of all VID staff was done by the Public Service Commission where people register for employment.

“A case has been reported to CID Bindura and people are advised to beware of this scammer. He is going by the name of Chakanetsa and keeps on changing identity,” it said.

It urged the public to continue using its toll-free numbers 08013121-3 to report any corruption, queries or any such issues.
