Residents implored to beef up security using modern technology

MARONDERA People have been urged to reinforce security measures at their business and
residential premises to avoid falling prey to criminal elements in communities.
This was said by the director of SIMS Security Services, Simba Chindove in a recent interview
with this Chaminuka.
SIMS Security Services provides goods and services such as solar system installations, razor
wire, security fence, closed circuit television (CCTV) installations, alarm system installations,
gate automation, electric gates, burglar bars and video intercoms.
“Several cases of robbery have been recorded in our town and beyond and it is against such
a sad background that people should prioritise their safety and protection of their
properties by reinforcing security measures.
“We have been offering services that help to guard against burglars in homes, at business
premises, at schools and other places or areas where rogue elements of society can easily
trespass,” Chindove said.
He stated that the security systems company has managed to install security mechanisms at
various properties that include all Surrey Abattoirs premises, Masaraure Complex, Kazmat
Hardware, Maisiri buildings and at Watershed Pharmacy, among others.
According to Chindove, his company has since ventured into providing security guards at
premises, thereby creating employment opportunities for a host of people.
He said: “We are growing and we now employ security guards. In that regard, we provide
security details to guard business premises, industries, residential homes and schools as well
as events security systems.”
The security guards entity was licensed last year.
